Eurovision: Sirusho Betting Odds

sirusho 0002Armenia’s entry into the Eurovision Song Contest, Sirusho, is fast becoming a major talking point for many online and off — and with good reason. The 21-year-old singing Qele Qele is one of the favorites to win the international song contest and Armenians are naturally excited. However, interest in the local pop star extends far beyond the borders of the country with Panorama.am reporting that Sirusho was one of the favorites in an online opinion poll conducted in March on the official Eurovision site.

Interestingly, Azerbaijan and Georgia also rank well, but at the bookmakers, it is Sirusho that leads the pack from the South Caucasus. In another poll, Panorama.am later reported that most visitors to the official site believe that next year’s Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Armenia meaning that some also consider that she will win the competition. Regardless, Sirusho is doing well in the competition overall with UK bookmaker giving her odds of 6/1 to win at time of writing.

The Online Betting Guide lists her as the third among those entrants most likely to win. The Caucasus Knot wishes Sirusho the best of luck and thinks she has a good chance of winning. Even if she doesn’t, she’s the perfect cultural ambassador for Armenia.
