Armenia: Blog Roundup
Global Voices Online posts a roundup of what various bloggers are saying about the 9 April inauguration of the new president, Serge Sargsyan, and the opposition protest to remember those that died during the 1 March riot which coincided with the event.
Depending on the political orientation of bloggers, whether the inauguration yesterday of a new president was the most important event of the day was debatable. Certainly, with an opposition protest remembering those that died during post-election riots on 1 March as well as a balloon festival planned the same day, there was plenty to see and do. However, for most bloggers, the commemoration of the eight dead was foremost in mind.
