Manvel Grigorian Dismissed
A1 Plus reports that the controversial and notorious General Manvel Grigorian has been relieved of his position as Deputy Minister of Defense. It is so far unknown whether he will also be stripped of his commission although sources allege that he might be forced to resign after the inauguration of president-elect Serge Sargsyan next week.
Grigorian is better known for falsifying elections and terrorizing residents of his fiefdom in Etchmiadzin. Whether he supports the government or the opposition, he will not be missed.
On April 2 Armenia’s President Robert Kocharian signed a decree on relieving General Manvel Grigorian of the post of the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
The President’s Press Office reports no more details.
