Doubts Over ‘Shooting’ Video

Life in Armenia casts doubts on a video posted on the Internet allegedly showing soldiers firing directly on protesters during the 1 March riot. Interestingly, the government insists that the soldiers in the video were firing blanks although the opposition claims the opposite.

However, I’m told by a reporter from a major Western media organization that his Moscow office analyzed the video and concluded that they could not make out what was being fired and so could not use the material. They also raised concerns regarding the video’s editing.

Certainly, no major international media has taken up the video or even treated it as cause to consider that live rounds were fired directly at protesters. Regardless, the allegations are serious enough to warrant proper independent investigation.

Given the death toll there is definitely a need for proper autopsies to reveal the precise cause of death for those killed that evening. At the same time, some significant concerns have been raised about the video’s authenticity.

During the riots, the police was only using blank bullets so they would just scare people. These weren’t actual bullets.

Take a look at 2:27 mark on the video. Now if you look at it, it seems like they’re actually shooting right? Now rewind watch about 10 seconds before 2:27 - then watch exact 2:27 again. The shooting part is in slow motion, while the parts before it are actual clips.

Take a look at the shooting part once again. Then look at 2:34. Notice the line when they shoot? Does it look realistic?

When you shoot a bullet, it’s much faster, and you would NOT see a line following the bullet. Now look at 2:43. See the line? How is that even possible?

So looks like the video is fake…
