Constitutional Court Appeal Update
PanArmenian.Net has two updates on the appeal contesting the final results of the 19 February presidential election currently being heard in Armenia’s Constitutional Court. In the first, the online news agency reports that deputy prosecutor general Aram Tamazyan has petitioned the court to dismiss the appeal. In the second, Levon Ter-Petrossian has requested the opportunity to make an additional statement.
“Yesterday Levon Ter-Petrosyan requested the CC to grant him the floor for 10 minutes to express his standpoint on the appeal,” he said.
For his part, CC chairman Gagik Harutyunyan said, “Levon Ter-Petrosyan can deliver a speech either during the pleadings or present concluding remarks,” Novosti Armenia reports.
