   ‘And it will a damage to our country,” the President said.

   They should have thought about that before mass fraud. And when has he ever cared about not damaging the country anyway - when he falsified the elections in 1998 or in 2003? This is a common propaganda trick. They have discredited themselves so badly that everybody can see through this.

   And while we are busy sorting this mess out, the Azeris again have brought the Khojali incident to the EU.

   I found it interesting that the co-chairs have stood up and made this statement. I guess they are keeping in line with their government’s position, however more likely what’s so interesting is the co-chairs could be acting on request from the lobby group(s?). I know they talk with the Assembly a lot, but at the same time ANC being Dashnak related is no friend of LTP so it could be both. The Assembly sticks out in particular because I know their position on Armenian internal issues is to always support the government, no matter who that is. It’s a semi-impartial position which supports the government of Armenia only, and by extension whomever happens to occupy that position. Rigged elections or no, this would mean they support Kocharian right now and therefore Serge, hence the reason why they might ask the co-chairs to issue such a statement. That said no one in Armenia has ever heard of Frank Pallone or Joe Knollenberg (who from witnessing him around from time to time doesn’t seem to know much about Armenia himself) so I guess this statement is aimed at a more international audience, if noticed at all.

   I am not witch hunting or decrying them (lobby groups and/or co-chairs) for making this supportive statement for Serge- I just find the internal mechanics of how it all works and comes to be interesting, a lot goes on behind the scenes. There’s no way the co-chairs decided to just do this on their own, and I highly doubt its from the State Department’s urging since they’ve taken such a back seat. This means most likely one or more of the lobby groups in DC asked them to do this.
