More Detentions
A1 Plus reports that another key supporter of former president, Levon Ter-Petrossian, has been detained after a swoop by masked men. The move against Ter-Petrossian’s team presumably by National Security Service (NSS) agents comes despite the former president claiming that 90 percent supported him rather than the incumbent authorities.
Today morning, at about 9.45, masked men rushed upon the car of Smbat Aivazian, ex MP and member of the “Hanrapetutiun” (Republic) Party’s political board at the intersection of Koryun-Terian streets. They detained Smbat Aivazian, his driver Vardan Kirakossian and the passenger Artak Misakian.
The detainees were going home from Liberty Square. Presently, they are in the 6th department with their attorney Hovik Arsenian.
