Breaking News: Jahangirian Kidnapped
A1 Plus reports that Gagik Jahangirian, a senior prosecutor who was fired this week after publicly supporting former president Levon Ter-Petrossian, has been kidnapped.
If true, this turn of events signals that the post-election environment is about to get very nasty indeed. Let’s just hope he doesn’t turn up face down in a ditch somewhere.
At about 10 p.m. today, on the highway Ejmiadzin-Yerevan, near the Argavand road, a group of people in black masks and in military clothing kidnapped RA deputy prosecutor Gagik Jhangiryan, his brother Vardan Jhangiryan, their driver Levon Poghosyan and assistant Karen Hovhannisyan.
The above mentioned people were taken in an unknown direction, Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s headquarters inform.
