		<description>You will recall that Vahan Hovhanissian is the star of my 'Blowing  the World Bank Whistle' show (http://better-not-wb-the-wb.blogspot.com/), which is in its second year in Washington. He was head of the Parliamentary Commission that studied the World Bank's Municipal Development Project and his commission exposed corruption valued at about 200 million dollars. But rather than standing by his word and fighting for the rights of the people, he chose a more convenient route. Vahan had considerable potential to be an excellent President, but in 2004 he was weak at a time when he needed to be strong and today he is paying the price.</description>
