Considering that the public transport was paralyzed and nearby metro stations were close, the moral abuse and spread of fear and intimidations the number of people visible in photos and videos is impressive.
These people deserve a fair election. I have not seen so much hope in no other place. It is a crime against humanity to deprive them from expressing their wish and desire.

Nikol Pashinian argues that “the international observers gave a negative assessment to the elections in Armenia

February 20, 2008

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Representative of the staff of presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrosian Nikol Pashinian stated during the rally in Yerevan that “our today’s rally and procession gave results - the international observers gave a negative assessment to the presidential elections in Armenia”.

In reality, the joint Observation Mission of OSCE/ODIHR, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the European Parliament stated in Yerevan that the presidential elections in Armenia were “mostly in line” with the OSCE and Council of Europe standards.

Mediamax reports that at present the supporters of Ter-Petrosian are realizing a rally at the Freedom Square in Yerevan and state that they “are going to struggle till the end”.

Nikol Pashinian stated that “after the procession, the number of participants of our action increased considerably”.

As Mediamax was told in the Police press service today, “altogether there were 10-12 thousand people” participating in the rally and the procession of the supporters of Levon Ter-Petrosian. The Police noted that the participants of the session deviated from the route presented beforehand.
