A1 Plus Reports No Minbuses in Yerevan

A1 Plus again alleges that no minibuses are operating as public transport in Yerevan and have “not been functioning properly since 19 February, when it was impossible to find any mini bus in the city.” Just one problem, I caught many buses on 19 February, used the metro yesterday, and there as many buses heading towards the city center outside my window at 3.21 pm as there usually are.

Of course, it’s possible that public transportation has been disrupted, but A1 Plus tends to exaggerate everything which ultimately makes it difficult to consider it an accurate source of information on the post-election situation. However, the online news source should differentiate between isolated cases and the total disruption of public transport in the center which has not happened to date.

Still, it’s one way to try to explain away the low turnout for yesterday’s Ter-Petrossian rally even if A1 Plus inflated the number of those attending ten-fold.
