Being a non voter, I agree with you Onnik .
Name calling or dirty tricks may be part of any election campaign, but can we aspire for a respectful and PEACEFUL outcome on the 19th Feb. 08?
Witnessing from afar the confrontational outbursts of the candidates, I can't help but suspect that there are foreign pressures (specifically Turkish/Azeri) utterings that one candidate is preferred to another?
Should this have any effect on our political leaders' thinking, leads one to worry for the future of our Country.

The worst scenario I feared, Serj becoming a president and protests that may easily become violent.

There are actually two worst scenarios:

i) WHOEVER becomes president was not voted in democratically and street protests turn violent.

ii) WHOEVER becomes president does get voted in democratically, another candidate refuses to accept the results and street protests turn violent.

What we should be talking about here is democracy and not partisan politics.

Using highly emotive words such as traitor, one is reminded of "Vasag Suni".
Hearing a prospective president of Armenia accusing another candidate as traitor because He refuses to back Him, makes one wonder the level of poliyical civility that prevails now in Armenia.
Lamentable.
