Levon Ter-Petrossian Russian Visit Misinformation

Following various reports in the Armenian and Russian media stating that presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrossian met with the deputy prime minister and possibly president of Russia on a Monday visit, various sources such as ArmInfo and Panorama now report that such rumors were untrue. If true, the prime minister, Serge Sargsyan, can breathe easily again. Interestingly, ArmInfo sources initially confirmed the rumors although Ter-Petrossian’s spokesperson neither confirmed or denied them when asked to comment. Hopefully more details will emerge later in the day.
