October 27 Case Intact
Following a mysterious fire at the Ministry of Justice and allegations made by Levon Ter-Petrossian regarding the 27 October 1999 case when several key members of the government were assassinated in the Armenian National Assembly, A1 Plus reports that the files relating to the case were not damaged and are intact.
“Generally, scandalous cases, like that of October 27, aren’t kept in the Justice Ministry,” Lana Mshetsian, Press Secretary for the Justice Ministry of the Republic of Armenia, told A1+.
She says that great losses were inflicted on Deputy Minister Gevorg Kostanian. The latter represents Armenia at the European Court.
