Ah, so what you mean, Nazarian, is that after accusing Sargsyan and his brother of obscene corruption (while ironically stil courting Tsarukian, Alexanyan et al) and masterminding the 27 October 1999 assassinations, Sargsyan and co will be allowed to up and leave the country before the revolution?

Hmmm...

Meanwhile, Ter-Petrosian and co go around threatening others such as village heads, city mayors, governors etc with prison, but as aprt of the hopes for an externally backed pseudo-democratic "revolution," they'll let the people they accuse of the most serious crimes go. Still, you may be right.

Last year, Ter-Petrosian's people were making out that Tsarukian, Lfik Samo etc were representative of all that's wrong with this country, and now they need their support to come to power. It would be laughable if it weren't so ironic and so utterly, utterly disappointing and depressing.

Which is probably why I suppose Levon is expecting not to lose, but bear in mind that some of us believe he never considered victory would be attained via the ballot box, but rather through high-profile defections within government and street protests.

Paul, he hasn't said that. His campaign actually spoke of the necessity of a smooth transition of power.

Threatened to imprison Robert and Serge? Now that sounds drastic. Whart could a candidate who some say has 5-10% support possibly be thinking saying something like that?? If he stood a good chance of winning that's one thing, but I still feel the Serge win is inevitable so that can only spell major trouble for Levon when he has to presumably receed back into the background.
