The general prosecutor’s office informs that Arthur Baghdasaryan, a presidential candidate, has been invited to the police, in relation to the threats to kill him.

On February 3, at the Country of Legality gathering, Arthur Baghdasaryan announced “there has been a threat to kill me.”

“On 05.02.08, Baghdasaryan was invited to the police and was asked to provide information related to the threats, which will allow undertaking operative measures for clarifying the above-mentioned circumstances,” the general prosecutor’s office statement says.

The police inform that the presidential candidate “was also offered to authorize another person for conveying the data to the police if his busyness did not allow him to visit personally.”

“To date, Baghdasaryan or an authorized person has not provided the police with any data. Baghdasaryan has declared that he will go to the police only on February 7,” the web site of the prosecutor’s office informs.
