Musinyan Backtracks on Ter-Petrossian Statement?

E-Channel reports that Ter-Petrossian’s press secretary, Armen Musinyan, has seemingly backtracked on earlier statements made by the former president interpreted by the media as him stating that he now had the support of Artur Baghdasarian and Raffi Hovannisian in his bid to return to power.

Both opposition party leaders have since indicated that Ter-Petrossian spoke prematurely. Hovannisian also added yesterday that neither Ter-Petrossian or Baghdasarian had the right or grounds to speak on behalf of Heritage.

The negotiations between Levon Ter-Petrossian, Raffi Hovhannisyan and Arthur Baghdasaryan have been still going on. Arman Musinyan advised to wait for one more week, maybe a bit more, to see what kind of unification will happen. Musinyan said that only after that it would be possible to say whether Levon Ter-Petrossian had rushed to make a statement about joining, or if he had just soberly evaluated the situation.
