Sirusho for Serge Sargsyan
Today marked another pre-election campaign meeting by the prime minister and presidential favorite, Serge Sargsyan. There will be more on that later, but for now it has to be said that Sargsyan certainly knows how to attract the youth vote.
Accompanying him were many of Armenia’s most popular singers who recently voiced their support for his candidacy in the presidential election including this year’s Eurovision Song Contest contestant, Sirusho.
Sirusho, full name Sirouhi Harutyunyan (Armenian: ???????) (born on January 7, 1987 in Yerevan, Armenia) is an Armenian pop singer. Her first appearance in front of an audience, was in Canada when she was seven years old. By age 9 she received an award for her song called Lusabats. Her popularity isn’t limited to Armenia, she had concerts in Canada, Belgium, United States, Greece, Poland, Georgia, Iran, Russia Syria and Jordan. She took piano lessons in a musical school named after Sayat-Nova and currently studies diplomacy in Yerevan State University She is the daughter of the famous Armenian singer Susan Margaryan.
