Attack on Orinats Yerkir Party Office
A1 Plus reports that there has been an attack on the Orinats Yerkir party office in the third largest city of Vanadzor. Posters were ripped off the walls and windows were smashed.
Some opinion polls currently put the party’s leader and presidential candidate, Artur Baghdasaryan, in second place for next months’ vote. Even so, the party appears confused as to why the office was broken into.
Head of the OYP regional structure Khachik Harutiunian couldn’t account for the surprise attack. “No pressure has been exerted on the office workers over the past few days. And yet, the general atmosphere is rather tense in Vanadzor.”
