Vahan Hovannisian Pre-Election Campaign Launch
E-Channel reports on the official start of the pre-election campaign of Armenian Revolutionary Federation — Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) candidate, Vahan Hovannisian. Despite the predictable and somewhat stuffy nature of press conferences by candidates such as Levon Ter-Petrossian, Artur Baghdasarian, Vazgen Manukian and Artashes Geghamian, the ARF-D and Hovannisian have started to set a precedent of engaging citizens on a more personal level. Moreover, journalists present at yesterday’s event report that it was the most refreshing launch since Heritage’s campaign launch for the 2007 parliamentary election.
