Kocharian Meets OSCE/ODIHR Ambassador
A1 Plus reports that the outgoing president, Robert Kocharian, has met with the Head of the Election Observation Mission for the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, Ambassador Geert Hinrich Ahrens. “We are interested in conducting elections in line with international standards and have done our best to organize the elections properly,” Kocharian is reported as saying.
Pointing out that the country was living in a very responsible period, the President of the Republic prioritized activities of the observation mission.
He anticipates serious collaboration with the observation mission, whose aim is the conduction of good elections. The President also expressed wish that before registering any information they would examine it in detail.
